Dhamaal 4 Review: 4 times the 'Duh', Zero times the Maal!

"Persistence is key," or so director Indra Kumar clearly believes. Following the misfire of Thank God, he retreats to familiar, safe terrain, convinced the surest path to box-office safety is milked from his 2007 hit one more time with Dhamaal 4. The fourth outing reunites the original quartet—joined this time by Anjali Anand, Ravi Kishan, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Pitobash Chakraborty.

For the fourth time, we get the same tired premise: a gang of greedy goofballs racing across land, air, and sea on a treasure hunt—with only a baptism by fire left for the next sequel—before wrapping up with an obligatory emotional climax. Ajay Devgn anchors the pack with decent comic timing, and credit where it’s due: at 143 minutes, the relentless chase keeps the pacing brisk. Visually, it is an absolute trainwreck. Between glaring green screens and shoddy CGI, you spend half the runtime spotting technical seams rather than following the story. It delivers a few sporadic chuckles, though whether they justify the ticket price remains entirely subjective.

Recommending a comedy of errors is usually a tough thing. But incase of Dhamaal 4, it can be an easy breezy watch after a tiring day or will work well as a white noise. The Bollywood Elephant is going with 2 stars. Now on Netflix.
