Cocktail 2 Review: A refreshing cocktail with a nice aftertaste!

Fresh off the success of Murder Mubarak, director Homi Adajania returned with Cocktail 2—a spiritual successor to his 2012 hit. Starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna, the film keeps the core love-triangle recipe intact while serving up a fresh modern twist.

Gorgeous visuals, stunning locations, and a killer soundtrack—yet all are let down by an uneven screenplay. A story brimming with potential ultimately falls short, as Luv Ranjan delivers a generationally relatable premise that ironically becomes the film's biggest flaw.

Cocktail 2 is like a good drink: smooth enough to enjoy without leaving a hangover, and satisfying enough that you’ll happily order it again after a little while. Its 150-minute runtime keeps you hooked on one central question: "Did he, or did he not?" It caters to a very specific crowd—it’s not really for the older generation, nor the college kids, but the corporate majdoors will definitely feel seen. The Bollywood Elephant gives it 3.5 out of 5 elephants—watch it for the sheer beauty!

 Streaming on Netflix!
