Pati, Patni Aur Woh Do Review: दो the Woh, and छीछालेदर ensues.
When Mudassar Aziz and Juno Chopra decided to greenlight a sequel to the Kartik Aaryan starrer, they didn't just add a "Do"—they multiplied the chaos. Bringing together an impressive ensemble of Ayushmann Khurrana, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rakul Preet Singh, and Sara Ali Khan, Pati Patni Aur Woh Do promises a wild, comedic ride. But does this star-studded equation result in a delightfully chaotic mess, or just a khichdi gone wrong?
On paper, the synopsis of Pati Patni Aur Woh Do (PPAWD) is a breathless, laugh-a-minute riot. On screen, the ingredients mostly work: the chaos lands, the comedy hits, and the leads deliver the exact brand of annoying charm you expect. Yet, the final product somehow fails its own script.
Unlike most chaotic comedies that rely on a wafer-thin plot, PPAWD actually has a solid story—which makes its execution struggles all the more frustrating. The film feels unpolished, almost as if it skipped final post-production; shaky cinematography and jarring editing consistently let the narrative down. The climax falters and the soundtrack feels entirely unnecessary.
However, despite these technical missteps and a weak finale, PPAWD ensures you are genuinely laughing for 90 of its 116-minute runtime. It’s a classic case of a movie that deserved better craftsmanship, but still manages to walk away with more pluses than minuses.
It is always frustrating when technical flaws drag down a great script. If Mudassar Aziz had closely supervised the post-production, PPAWD had the potential to be an out-and-out comedic blockbuster with ₹100-crore box office legs. Regardless of what’s missing, the film still deserves love for the entertainment it delivers. PPAWD gets 3 Elephants from The Bollywood Elephant. Do watch it on NETFLIX.
