He-Man: Masters of the Universe Review - He Does Have the Power!
Following the success of Project Hail Mary and The Sheep Detectives, Amazon Studios took a gamble on an '80s icon: He-Man. While the box office was unforgiving to Masters of the Universe, the cast gives it their all—delivering a fun, nostalgic ride that will hopefully spark a few more Eternian adventures.
Nicholas Galitzine and a solid supporting cast—including Jared Leto’s Skeletor—give it their all, but the movie isn't without its flaws. The 2-hour-20-minute runtime feels 15 minutes too long, and over-reliance on weak CGI gives the production a not so clean finish. Even so, fans of the '80s show will find plenty of pure nostalgia to make the journey back to Eternia worth it.
Now streaming on Prime Video!
He-Man and the Masters of the Universe offers a fun, nostalgia-fueled journey back to Eternia. Despite its pacing hiccups, drawn-out action scenes, and weak CGI, the earnest performances and pure '80s charm make it worth the trip. The Bollywood Elephant rates it a solid 3 elephants.
If you would like, watch it in Hindi, Javed Jaffrey as Skeletor is the BEST.
